Super Eagles Player Named Chinese Super League Player Of The Week

Former Watford star Odion Ighalo has been selected in the Chinese Super League Team of the Week for game week four by Whoscored.com. The Nigeria international netted his first ever brace for Shanghai Shenhua as they registered a 5-1 rout of Sone Aluko’s Beijing Renhe at the Hongkou Stadium (Shanghai) on Sunday.In a 4-4-2 formation, Ighalo was partnered in attack by Shanghai Shenhua teammate Giovanni Moreno, who opened the scoring in the comprehensive win against Beijing Renhe.With a rating of 9.84, the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers top scorer was there best rated player in the Team of the Week and was named Player of the Week as a result. Ighalo had a game-high six shots against Beijing Renhe, of which three were on target; made two key passes and had a passing accuracy of 77.8. The 29-year-old completed four take-ons, a joint game-high, the same number as compatriot Sone Aluko and Fredy Guarín.

JAMB has urged candidates for the 2019 UTME to adhere strictly to the printing guidelines with regards to their examination slips. This is contained in the board’s weekly bulletin tagged ‘JAMBULLETIN’, by the Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, and issued in Lagos on Sunday. Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Caretaker Committee Chairman, Ahmed Makarfi has insisted that the level of corruption under the All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration was worst than PDP’s 16 years. The former governor of Kaduna State and a presidential aspirant said the current level of corruption will not be known until APC leaves power. Speaking with PDP leaders in Enugu, he claimed that the anti-graft war was weak under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration because it has been politicised. Makarfi said, “By the time APC is kicked out in 2019, you will know that the corruption in the system now is even worse now than in PDP’s 16 years. It is usually difficult to investigate a government in power. “But, I must tell you clearly that this government is corrupt.
